ALSTOM
Finland Oy has completed the acquisition of RMG-Yhtiöt, a Finnish industrial
maintenance and services company. The new company will operate under the name
ALSTOM Pointo Oy, as part of the Power Service Sector of Alstom. All 200
employees will continue to work for the new company.

The
acquisition represents a major step forward in Alstoms strategy to become a
full service provider, supporting the market through field service resources,
located close to customers. Kari Suominen, Country President at Alstom in Finland
commented, Pointos depth and breadth of skills and service capabilities offer
us a unique opportunity to strengthen Alstoms position both in the Finnish
power service market and deliver more advanced service solutions to customers
right across the Nordic and Baltic regions.

Combining
the resources of RMG-Yhtiöt and Alstom will deliver significant synergies and
additional growth potential. The service facilities of RMG-Yhtiöt will allow
Alstom to strengthen its services offering and expand its presence into new
business areas.

RMG-Yhtiöt
has been a close partner of Alstom since the 1980s, as the preferred
subcontractor for field service projects. Founded in 1953, RMG-Yhtiöt
today has long-term relationships with both Finnish industry and power
providers. With sales of about 18 million euros in 2006, RMG-Yhtiöt
currently employs more than 200 people.
