Visit of a Chilean delegation on 17 July

Early on in the planning process, the local authorities
decided to visit cities already equipped with tramways, such as
Buenos Aires in South America and in Europe, to see whether
this form of transport is suitable for their city.



As part of a visit organized by Ubifrance, the mayor of
Vitacura came to Alstom Transports headquarters on 17
July for a presentation of the tramway proposal. He then
visited the RATP maintenance workshop for the
Maréchaux tramway in southern Paris.



The mayor expressed his satisfaction with the presentation and
the visit.Vitacura is one of the wealthiest municipalities in
Chile. It is currently considering, along with other
neighbouring districts, the installation of a tramway.
