The first personalized plaque was fixed on the nose of the
17th vehicle in June, in the workshops at Reichshoffen and a
retrofitting operation on the first 16 is currently underway in
those of the SNCFs EIMM (Etablissement industriel de
maintenance du matériel) workshop at Romilly, near Paris.
The first vehicle will be delivered during November 2007.

Signed on 2 March 2005, the order takes in the renovation and
supply of 57 Corail vehicles equipped with a push-pull cabin.
Thanks to this equipment, the SNCF will be able to free itself
from constraints when manoeuvring Corail trainsets in stations,
thus allowing it to increase the number of places served
regionally in Burgundy, Alsace, Rhone Alpes, Provence-Cote
dAzur and Franche Comté.

Located at the opposite end to the locomotive, the driving cab
avoids the need to add a second locomotive in places where
operations call for turnbacks, such as in cul de
sac stations.

Reichshoffen receives the vehicle, dismantles it and transforms
it in its workshops. Installation of equipment in the driving
cab, the fixing of the bubble (front face of the
cabin) and two passenger access doors, plus the performance of
functional tests, is handled by the site. It then sends the
transformed coaches back to the EIMM in Romilly, where they are
fully lined and painted. Four vehicles are transformed and
badged each month at Reichshoffen.

Over the past four years, Alstom Transport has adopted an
approach that involves the marking of all its trains :
tramways, metros, regional and main line trains. This
innovation is born of Alstom Transports desire to be
identified as a designer and manufacturer of trains. As Xavier
Allard, Head of the Design & Styline department, explains:
this signature is a promise made to passengers and to
customers. It embodies the commitment of Alstom Transport in
respect of innovation, comfort and safety for passengers and
illustrates the long-term partnership it maintains with its
customers.
