Site Managing Director Karine Famy knew
that
SATEE was not totally compliant with the ISO
certification requirements. This combined internal audit, and
especially the training session that accompanied it, really
showed us where our weaknesses lie. In particular, we realized
that our risk management approach was not comprehensive, that we
lacked reliable procedures and that we were not consistently
using existing indicators to analyze and correct our
actions
. She adds that
experience showed us that we have very motivated teams who
are willing to implement the necessary improvements. At SATEE, we
are ready to take on important challenges, such as those that
will affect us during the technology transfer between the
Charleroi and Sesto San Giovanni sites
.
Having identified the various problems and improvement
areas, the sites teams all committed to achieving level 3
on the APSYS indicator, whereas the site's current rating is
1.83. SATEE also committed to considerably reducing non-quality
problems with respect to SATCO in order to improve the level of
customer satisfaction. In the medium term, the objective for SATEE is to become a
leading supplier of traction systems for the Chinese market. By
meeting international quality standards, the site will then be
able to integrate a global supplier approach within Alstom
Transports organisation. Certification therefore
represents a significant challenge for SATEE from a development
perspective.   SATEE Shanghai Alstom Transport Electrical
