Its main objective is to facilitate the exchange between
members of the research, innovation and environment, economy and
business area. It seeks to increase the research advances and its
applications. The exhibition aims to demonstrate the key role of
research and innovation inside society. In parallel, it hopes to
incite scientific callings by encouraging young graduates to put
a lot into innovative companies

For the first time Alstom will present to the general public the
most advanced of its Transport and Power sectors’
technologies. It will be possible to discover :

- Very high speed and interior design of the trains of the future
through a mock-up of the Record Trainset and a 3D animation, an
AGV (Automotrice Grande Vitesse) engine and through the lighting
fabrics.

- The “Clean Power” concept (CO2 capture and ECS),
through a 3D hologram screening and the mock-up of a GT13
turbine.

The 2006 edition gathered 260 exhibitors from ten
countries, including Siemens, Areva, Bouygues, Veolia, EDF,
Total or Vinci, as well as the French regions and the 24
French Poles of Competitiveness.

Approximately 40.000 people visited the exhibition. More
than 60% belonged to the age bracket 25-35 years, 13% of
them being young graduates looking for employment. The
exhibition organises recruitment sessions ("Les Rendez-vous
de l’Emploi"), with the support of the French
Ministry for Education. Information has been widely relayed
by media.
