New General Counsel, Transport Sector

John W. Soderberg pursued his studies at the University of
Stanford (Bachelor of arts in comparative literature), in the
Institute of European Studies (European Community Law),
National Law Center, George Washington University,  and at
Kings College, University of London (Post-graduate
diploma in EC Competition Law).  Associate of Oppenheimer
Wolff & Donnelly, Minneapolis (1986-91), he then became
Deputy General Counsel of Alcatel Cable S.A. in Paris,
(1991-96) before being nominated General Counsel of Piaggio
& C.Spa in Italy (1996-2000).  In 2000, he was
nominated General Counsel of Pirelli UK PLC, which became
Prysmian Cables & Systems Ltd in 2005,  in
London,  before joining Alstoms Transport Sector
beginning 2007.
