Patrick Kron, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Alstom, has been awarded “Manager 2007” by
BFM radio station, during a presentation ceremony on 12 November
2007 in Paris, in the presence of a number of key political and
business figures.
This event, which is in its third year, is
organised by BFM, a French business information radio station
owned by NextRadioTV media group and chaired by Alain Weill , and
which includes RMC radio station, BFM TV station, websites and
computer magazines. BFM listeners voted Patrick Kron as winner
from a shortlist of 4 nominees selected by the radio station.
Previously, the CEOs of Renault and Areva received this award in
2005 and 2006 respectively.
During the presentation ceremony, Jean-Louis
Borloo, the French minister for the Environment and Sustainable
Development, said that Patrick Kron has given full meaning to the
term “Captain of Industry” and that he “and was
way ahead with his vision that companies engaged in sustainable
development will be the winners of tomorrow”.
