Rotterdam RET: Contract signed for 53 Citadis trams

The contract was signed at Alstoms facility in La
Rochelle, where the 53 Citadis tramway train sets will be
manufactured.



RETs management and local council representatives came
to La Rochelle to witness and celebrate this second contract
for Rotterdam which was signed by Roland Kientz, Senior Vice
President Alstom Transport North Europe and by Pedro Peters,
CEO RET, for the customer.



And with this order Rotterdam will also become the largest
Citadis fleet owner in the world with113 Citadis trams.


Delivery is scheduled for mid-2009 and will proceed at a rate
of four train sets per month.
