ALSTOM will be displaying a model of the TGV Duplex
(two-level high-speed train) locomotive (power car) and first
train set at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris
that will be re-opening on September 15.The museum wishes to give an important place to certain
outstanding contemporary creations. Among the contemporary
designers exhibited, an area will be devoted to Roger Talon, the
designer of the TGV, and his contribution to industrial
engineering, particularly railways, via his collaboration with
ALSTOM on the TGV 001 and TGV Duplex. This exhibition is a fine setting for ALSTOM Transport to
present one of the symbolic products of its range to the general
public. As well as the TGV model, the set of items on display will
include a 1/10 scale front end, a first class seat, various
accessories, drawings and photos.
