Appointment to ALSTOM Senior Management team

He replaces Donna Vitter, who is leaving the company to take
up other opportunities. Fred Einbinder will report to Patrick
Kron, Chairman and CEO of ALSTOM. Born in Chicago (USA), Fred
Einbinder is a graduate of Bradley University (Illinois) and has
been a member of the Bar of the State of Illinois since 1976. He
is also a graduate of The Hague Academy of International Law (The
Netherlands), the Institute of Comparative Law of the University
of Paris 2 and the Centre de Perfectionnement aux Affaires (HEC)
of Paris. After serving as Department Head at the business and
industry advisory committee of the OECD in Paris in 1982 and as
intellectual property law counsel at a Paris law firm, Fred
Einbinder joined Spie-Batignolles as Senior Legal Counsel
(1985-1991), then became Director, International Legal Affairs at
Campenon Bernard SGE (1991-1998). He began his career at ALSTOM
in May 1998 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of
ALSTOM Transport. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the American
University of Paris.
