New oxygen-fueled procedure for the sequestration of greenhouse gas emissions from fossil power plants.

Alstom received the order from Vattenfall to builds an utility boiler for the worldwide first carbon-free pilot plant using a oxyfuel combustion procedure. With an order volume of about 17 million euro, the 30 MWt pilot plant will be build at location Schwarze Pumpe in Brandenburg, Germany.  The commercial commissioning for the new lignite combustion plant is planned for 2008.
