ALSTOM signs 50 million TIS contract with
Réseau Ferré de France

The contract will be fulfilled using ALSTOM’s SMARTLOCK
400 system. The function of SMARTLOCK is to control train
movement and manage train routes in a safe way. It guarantees
that a route is open only when there is zero risk of overtaking,
front collision, merging or crossing conflicts.

This new contract follows on from Transport’s supply of
computing units to 10 major French railway stations in cities
such as Melun, Metz, Strasbourg, Nancy.
