ALSTOM completes delivery of Tube Lines Jubilee Line
fleet extension

ALSTOM has completed the delivery of the Jubilee Line fleet
extension contract by handing over the last of the four new
7-car train sets to Tube Lines. The hand over marked the
successful completion of the delivery of the four new trains
and 59 new cars which comprised the £100 million contract
awarded to ALSTOM by Tube Lines in 2003.

This contract has demonstrated ALSTOMs ability to
deliver complex projects on time and in budget. It involved
multi-national engineering, procurement and manufacture;
cross-channel and UK transport logistics; compatibility with
existing stock; an intense integration programme adding the new
7th car to each existing 6-car train; and excellent teamwork
between ALSTOM, Tube Lines and London Underground.
