The Global Engineering Center will serve the Environmental
Control Systems business that specializes in air quality
control systems for the power generation and industrial process
markets. ALSTOM is the worldwide leader in air quality control
and in particular has been the leader in Indias emission
control market for the aluminium industry over the past two
decades.

ALSTOM has successfully worked with companies such as NTPC,
NALCO, BALCO, HINDALCO, TATA Steel, Birlas, MALCO and Grasim
etc. to reduce harmful emissions to the environment.

The Global Engineering Center will supply high-value
engineering skills to projects being executed not only in India
but also in North America and Europe, and will soon ramp up to
250 highly skilled engineers in the Region.  Over 70% of
the capacity of this centre will be dedicated to serve
international customers needs

The Global Engineering Center, ALSTOMs fifth
significant center in India, is another example of
