ALSTOM has been awarded a contract valued at over 700,000 euros to perform a retrofit on an electrostatic precipitator in two lime kilns installed at the Votorantim Celulose e Papel (VPC) mill in Jacareí, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ALSTOM will conduct the retrofit in order to improve the particulate matter emission levels in the lime kilns due to a capacity increase in plant production and reach a limit of 40 mg/Nm3. ALSTOM will be responsible for the design and engineering, supply of equipment, installation and commissioning. Start up of the plant is scheduled for August, 2005.
