New precipitator orders for SMARTLINE Solutions

ALSTOM Finland Oy will
deliver several new ELPAC Electrostatic Precipitators to small power plants in Finland
 

One ELPAC Electrostatic Precipitator for a plywood mill 

Environmental Control Systems will deliver one ELPAC Electrostatic
Precipitator (ESP) to the power plant of Järvelä plywood mill, owned by
Koskisen Oy. The mill is located near the city of Lahti. Contract has been signed with Putkimaa
Oy. Putkimaa will deliver a new BFB boiler (with thermal capacity of 25 MW).
The boiler will burn wood waste from the plywood mill (birch & spruce bark
+ plywood veneer). The guaranteed emission level for the precipitator is 40
mg/Nm³. The ELPAC ESP will be delivered during spring 2005, erection is
scheduled to start in April.

Two ELPAC Electrostatic Precipitators for Vapo Energia™s power plants 

ALSTOM will deliver ELPAC Electrostatic Precipitators also for Vapo
Energia™s power plants in Ilomantsi and Haapavesi. The client, Noviter Oy, will
deliver new compact BFB multifuel boilers both to Ilomantsi (thermal capacity
19.9 MW) and Haapavesi (thermal capacity 28.5 MW) plants. Erection at the
Ilomantsi mill will start in April 2005 and the commissioning will take place
in September 2005. The boiler will burn bark and peat as main fuel. The boiler
at Haapavesi peat pellet mill will burn mainly peat but also sludge. The
erection will start in June 2005 and commissioning will take place in November
2005. The guaranteed emission level is 20 mg/Nm³.

All ALSTOM deliveries contain material delivery, erection, insulation,
erection supervision and commissioning of the precipitators.
