ALSTOM Transport wins maintenance and infrastructure order
for Santiago de Chiles metro

Santiago Metro, Santiago de Chiles metro operator,
has awarded ALSTOM an order for the maintenance of Santiago de
Chiles metro.
The contract covers a total of 87 metro cars and will be on
for a period of 6 years.
Santiago Metro has also chosen ALSTOM for the supply of
infrastructure for Santiago de Chiles metro. ALSTOM will
supply and install a 10 km single track, in tunnel, for
the extension of metro line 2 (North) to Vespucio
expressway.
ALSTOM Transport has supplied rolling stock to Santiago
Metro over the past 30 years. The whole fleet composed of 488
cars, used on their 3 lines network, were manufactured by
ALSTOM Transport. Additional 180 cars for line 4 are being
manufactured in Brazil. The first delivery will take place in
November of this year.
