65 million euro O&M contract extension for power plant in Italy

ALSTOM has signed with API Raffineria di Ancona S.p.A. a six
year extension of an existing operation and maintenance
(O&M) contract for the 280MW GT13E2-based Falconara
combined-cycle power plant in Italy. The contract extension,
which has an approximate value of 65 million euros, will now
run until 2013.
ALSTOM provides total plant management services at
Falconara, covering the full operation and maintenance of the
entire power plant including the gas turbine, steam
turbine, generators, boilers, auxiliaries and control
systems.
The multi-shaft combined-cycle waste-to-energy power plant
is equipped with one ALSTOM GT13E2 gas turbine specially
adapted to fire Syngas, a synthetic gas derived from tar
residuals from the customers refinery.
The awarding of this contract reflects APIs
confidence that ALSTOMs OEM support will best secure the
continued safe operation, reliable service and high
availability of the Falconara plant.
