ALSTOM extends long term service agreement with PT Indonesia Power

ALSTOM has signed a contract to expand and extend a
long-term service agreement (LTSA) with PT Indonesia Power. The
new contract extends the scope of an existing LTSA covering the
GT13E1-based Tanjung Priok power plant, and as importantly, now
includes the GT13E2-based Gilimanuk plant in Bali.

The LTSA covers all scheduled major maintenance for the two
plants up until 2009, including the supply of new and
reconditioned parts and associated support services. This
contract is an extension of the LTSA signed with PT Indonesia
Power in 2001, and now brings the total contract value to
approximately 145 million euros.

The inclusion of the Gilimanuk power plant into the existing
LTSA with Tanjung Priok reflects PT Indonesia Power’s
confidence in its partnership with ALSTOM. The returns for PT
Indonesia Power include optimised and predictable long-term
maintenance expenditures and improved reliability and
availability, which will lower the costs of energy
production.

The Gilimanuk single cycle power plant has been in
commercial operation since 1997 and has a capacity of 164 MW.
The Tanjung Priok combined cycle power plant is based on two
blocks, each comprising three GT13E1 type gas turbines and one
steam turbine. The plant has been in commercial operation since
1994 and has an overall capacity of 1180 MW in base load.
