ALSTOM wins generator equipment order for Swedish Nuclear Power Station

ALSTOM has received an order valued at approximately 20 million euros from Ringhals AB for new generator equipment to be supplied to Block 2 at Ringhals Nuclear Power Station in Sweden. 

The order comprises two stators and one rotor to replace the existing generator equipment, which has been in operation for many years. 

The scope of supply covers disassembly of the old equipment, as well as the design, manufacture and installation of the new equipment, including service and maintenance. 

The rotor and the first stator will be installed during a planned overhaul period in the summer of 2004, and the second stator will be replaced one year later.

"The order was won against tough competition with six other generator suppliers and we are very pleased with the confidence that the customer has shown in our technology and our ability."
