ALSTOM wins condenser order for Spanish combined cycle plant

ALSTOM has won an order for two condensers to be supplied to a 2 x 400 MW combined cycle plant under construction in Arcos de la Frontera in the southern part of Spain. 

EPC contractor for the project is Iberinco and the end customer is Iberdrola, one of the major Spanish electricity groups. 

ALSTOM's contract covers the complete supply from design to transport to site, the installation being ensured by the customer. Delivery is scheduled 10 months from order for the first unit and 11 months for the second unit. 

This plant, Arcos de la Frontera A, is the first of three combined cycle units which the customer is planning to build, the remaining two being Arcos de la Frontera B and a further unit in Aceca, Toledo province.
