ALSTOM & DB signed a joint venture agreement

The joint venture, of which ALSTOM will have a 51% stake, is
expected to start commercial operation in September 2002,
following approval from national and European authorities.
Michel Moreau, ALSTOM Transport President, and Hartmut
Mehdorn, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of DB AG, and
guests for the signing ceremony arrived in Stendal in style on
ALSTOM's LIREX experimental train.
