ALSTOM Wins More Than 100 M Orders For Power Generation Equipment

ALSTOM has been awarded
turnkey contracts to supply a boiler island for a combined
cycle plant in Hungary, and a waste-to-energy Power Plant in
Germany.

  • The HRSG (Heat
    Recovery Steam Generator) island contract for the Kispest
    power plant in Hungary was signed with FORTUM Engineering
    Company who is the Engineering Procurement and Construction
    (EPC) Contractor, Budapest Erömü RT being the end
    customer.

The combined-cycle
power plant is located at Kispest in the district of
Budapest. In addition to design and manufacture of the
vertical natural circulation HRSG, ALSTOM will be responsible
for erection, commissioning and start-up.

  • The waste-to-energy
    contract in Germany was placed by architect engineer, TRABA
    Germany.

The power plant will
be built on a green field location in lower Saxony and will
consist of 2 units of 14 t/h each. The two units are
scheduled for commissioning in June 2005.

ALSTOM will supply the
two units on a turnkey basis, including key components such
as the boiler, steam turbine and air cooling system. In
addition, ALSTOM will be responsible for overall engineering,
civil works, site erection and commissioning of all
mechanical and electrical systems.
