8th International Exhibition on Metro, LRT & Hi-Speed
Transit, 19-21 June 2002, Guangzhou, China

ALSTOM Transport was present at the 8th International
Exhibition on Metro, LRT & Hi-Speed Transit held in Guangzhou
18-21 June 2002.

The exhibition allowed the various partnerships that exist
between ALSTOM and several Chinese factories to be highlighted
and placed emphasis on the effort ALSTOM supplies to local
production and technology transfer in China.

 

Numerous customers were received on the stand including
representatives from several large Metro Corporations.

Commenting on the urban transport market of China, Thierry
Best,  Senior Vice President, ALSTOM Transport China said
'The expansion of Chinese cities demands modern urban transport
systems that free city dwellers from traffic congestion and make
their daily trips easy, safe and comfortable. The market
potential of China is clearly enormous and we are committed to
it.'
