French National Railways picks up option for additional
CORADIA regional trains

This new order brings to 299 the total number of ATER regional
trains ordered by this customer from ALSTOM.

The diesel trains are equipped with two 257kW motors, have a
capacity of 81 seated passengers and operate at up to 140 km per
hour. Many of this type of train are already in service on
regional French lines (TER).

The trains will be built at ALSTOMs unit in
Reichshoffen,
in eastern France.
