Appointment Investor Relations

Robert S. SHAW joins ALSTOM to manage Investors Relations,
reporting to François NEWEY, Chief Financial Officer. He
succeeds Heather GREEN who joins Marconi.

Robert S. SHAW, 38, has a MBA in Finance from Wharton School
and a BA from Northwestern University ( USA ) . After beginning
his career with the Chase Manhattan Bank and Lyonnaise des Eaux
, Robert S. SHAW joined Euro Disney, where he occupied a
variety of finance positions including, notably investor
relations. He then joined Walt Disney Company.

Robert S. SHAW was most recently CFO of a London-based
internet company.
