The visitors made the trip in order to become fully acquainted
with the ALSTOM CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) system
developed for the Singapore driverless metro.

The group of 25 guests  represents  the biggest and
the most technically-advanced customers and suppliers in the
world.

The visit began with experts from ALSTOM Transport Information
Solutions presenting  the NEL Singapore driverless control
system and the latest technology in e-train and e-passenger
information and entertainment. The group then climbed on-board
for test runs of the train to be delivered to Singapore.

This visit followed a meeting organized by ALSTOM and held at
the RATP Headquarters focusing on the interoperability of CBTC
systems. The main objective of this session was to exchange views
about the different approach that could emerge from the programs
on which we are working together to establish the standards that
will be used by the whole industry on a world-wide basis.

ALSTOM has demonstrated its capability to deliver a fully
operational driverless metro. CBTC is not just a concept, it is
real technology in use today. ALSTOM has more CBTC references in
the world than anyone else including the very first radio-based
CBTC system.  We help our customers  use CBTC as a
pathway to the future, integrating past and future technologies
for efficient and economical solutions.
