Become a supplier for the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP)
Alstom and its Construction Partner, Laing O’Rourke, have been shortlisted to tender for the impressive Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). Following the Queensland Government’s announcement in November 2021 of a $7.1Bn rail infrastructure investment, Alstom is excited to be given the opportunity to continue to demonstrate their world class capabilities.
The QTMP Tender opportunity will enhance the rolling stock manufacture and maintenance industries within Queensland and bring lasting economic and social benefits to the Fraser Coast Local Government Area (LGA). The State of Queensland is seeking to maximise its investment in the project by:
- Creating genuine, quality, secure ongoing jobs for Queenslanders;
- Increasing rolling stock manufacturing capability and encouraging supply chain resilience in Queensland, through participation of local suppliers and local workforces, particularly within the Fraser Coast LGA and SEQ
- Enhancing opportunities for Indigenous businesses; employment and training outcomes for trainees and apprentices; and
- Increasing research and development activity, resulting in innovation
