Located in the Hauts-de-France technology park, France's most successful region in the rail and automotive sectors, the Valenciennes site is by its size and number of employees the largest of Alstom's 13 sites in France. More than 150 recruitments are planned for 2020.
The Valenciennes site is Alstom's centre of excellence for the design, manufacture and testing of metros, tram-trains, RER and double-deck regional trains. Valenciennes is also home to Alstom's global centre of excellence for interior design, which designs parts for these fittings for all Alstom trains worldwide. What's more, the site is also known for its service centre with maintenance engineering activities and parts sales and repair activities in France and abroad.
