ALSTOM signs USD 80 million (67 million) agreement
with Amtrak for 5-year parts supply to railways northeast
passenger fleet

Under term of the contract, ALSTOM will manage a
comprehensive supply chain to deliver complete overhaul
packages, corrective maintenance materials and scheduled
maintenance kits for the trains. In addition, ALSTOM will
provide the carrier with technical assistance to help Amtrak
further manage the maintenance of the Acela fleet.

Amtrak operates the largest passenger railroad network in
North America with 22000 miles (35000 kilometers) of track
providing service to over 500 destinations in 46 states. This
Acela fleet, which currently comprises 20 high-speed train
sets, operates in the northeast corridor, between New York,
Boston and Washington.

This contract is important for us in continuing our
long-term relationship with Amtrak, commented Roelof van
