ALSTOM has been awarded a contract worth over 20 million
euros by LKAB Sweden for the supply of emission control systems
for a new iron ore pelletising plant in Sweden.

The emissions control systems include five electrostatic
precipitators, a selective catalytic reduction system and a flue
gas desulphurisation system, which will reduce particulate, NOx
and SOx emissions at LKABs new pelletising plant, KK4, to
be built in Kiruna, northern Sweden. The plant will begin
operations in 2008. ALSTOM will be responsible for the project management of the
whole scope of supply, as well as installation of the flue gas
cleaning equipment. ALSTOM has been serving the mining and metallurgical
industries for over 50 years and the contract confirms ALSTOM's
world leading position as a supplier of clean air
solutions.Should you have any media inquiries about this press release, do not hesitate to contact our team.
