ALSTOM to supply Boiler Turbine to Bokaro Power Supply

New Delhi, 6th January 2006: ALSTOM Projects India
Ltd. has been awarded an order worth Rs. 208 Crores for supply
of Boiler Turbine package on a turnkey basis by Bokaro Power
Supply Company (P) Ltd.
The plant located in Bokaro Steel City in the state of
Jharkhand will cater to the in-house power demand of the steel
plant.
Scope of work includes Design, Engineering, Supply, Erection
and Commissioning of 1 x 38.45 MW Back pressure Turbine and 300
TPH PC Fired Boiler.
Bokaro Supply Company is augmenting its existing 330 MW
power plant for process steam as well as power generation. The
process steam shall be used for the existing steel plant.
ALSTOM has been awarded this order for its technically
superior design compared to other competitors. ALSTOM
India has earlier executed Power Boilers for DVC at various
locations.
