  • Streetcar for Toronto’s Transit Commission

    Alstom delivered 60 low-floor, energy efficient light rail vehicles to Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to support its system modernization effort. The iconic red and white fleet provides more reliable, accessible service for the largest and busiest light rail system in North America.

  • Light rail system for Edmonton Valley Line

    As part of the TransEd joint venture, Alstom delivered 26 light rail vehicles, plus signalling, communications, power supply, OCS and full systems integration for the Edmonton Valley Line. Alstom now operates and maintains the line, achieving an average on‑time performance above 99%.

  • New streetcars for SEPTA’s historic tracks

    In 2023, SEPTA commissioned 130 low‑floor streetcars now being built in Hornell, NY, using advanced laser‑cell technology for improved quality and energy efficiency. Inspired by Philadelphia’s Liberty Bell, the design blends historic character with sleek, modern innovation.

  • Light rail transit for Greater Toronto area: Waterloo, Eglinton, Finch, Hurontario

    Several ongoing Alstom projects in the area include 46 Citadis Spirit light rail vehicles for Metrolinx’s Finch West and Hurontario LRT projects, and 76 Flexity light rail vehicles for Metrolinx’s Eglinton Crosstown LRT project.
